“The ultimate aim is to be at home in one’s body, to be at one with the nature of oneself, and to experience exercise as a creative and delightful experience”
Juliu Horvath, Founder of The GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM®

MovementKind introduces the Gyrotonic Expansion System
The Gyrotonic Expansion System is a movement methodology that supports the relationship between the body and mind.
The circular and fluid exercises are designed to integrate movement and breath, facilitating ease of motion. Because of its holistic approach, this mindful movement can be practiced by any body, at any age.
The movements can be adapted to meet you where you are at so that the practice becomes an act of kindness toward your body.
The Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis methods are two branches of the Gyrotonic Expansion System. They share many of the same principles and vocabulary. The two complement each other beautifully, but depending on your body and how you like to move, you may prefer one over the other. Experiencing both is recommended so that you can find what works best for you. Whether for cross-training, injury prevention, rehabilitation, or overall wellbeing, experience for yourself the benefits of this method.

Gyrotonic
Gyrotonic exercises use artfully crafted equipment that can be adjusted to best support your body and its needs. The pulley mechanism facilitates both weightlessness and resistance, creating a unique exercise experience that challenges and supports your body. Using the equipment offers physical feedback, a useful tool for learning more about your body and its pathways.

Gyrokinesis
Gyrokinesis exercises use minimal equipment, which lets the attention turn inward as you learn to listen to its body and how it moves. Gyrokinesis exercises can be easily practiced wherever you are, at home or online. With many exercises taking place in a seated position, this can be a very accessible option that can be practiced in therapeutic settings.
